Since 1995 Pam Betz has been President of Betz & Company, a consulting firm which specializes in ‘raising people and money’ through the integration of innovative fund development planning with effective volunteer management programming, better known as community resource development.

She is a certified trainer and coach for the Points of Light Service Enterprise Initiative (SEI) through the Governor’s Office of Youth, Family and Service.  She served as an adjunct professor at ASU’s Lodestar Nonprofit Management Institute for many years teaching courses in Volunteer Management & Leadership Effectiveness and Special Event Design & Implementation.  She regularly presents to Valley nonprofits and regional conferences and workshops.

Pam served as an Experience Matters Encore Fellow to Smiles Beyond the Bars where she continues to consult designing and implementing their Community Resource Development infrastructure.  She also served as a contractor to Experience Matters implementing their alumni program.

Pam served for many years as the Executive Director of the Hon Kachina Volunteer Awards program, Arizona’s most prestigious award for extraordinary volunteerism.  She was Corporate Director of Community Resources for St. Luke’s Health System where she was responsible for the management of five affiliated nonprofit organizations and an extensive volunteer program for four medical centers.

A graduate of Wilson College, Pam did graduate work in education at the University of Maryland and Asian Art History at ASU.  She is a Class VI graduate of Scottsdale Leadership and is certified in Nonprofit Organizational Management from the ASU Lodestar Center.

Pam ‘walks her talk’ as she has held multiple Board and leadership positions with Valley nonprofit organizations, including Hospice of the Valley, Waste Not, Project C.U.R.E.,  Purple Ribbon Council, Organization of Nonprofit Executives (ONE) and Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits.

In 2011 in collaboration with First Nonprofit Insurance Foundation, she published, Volunteers:  The Heart and Soul of Your Nonprofit.

Pam considers it a privilege to have her avocation be her vocation.
